  • Little Elf Family Services (yes, me) is a one stop shop for postpartum needs. I help couples to fall in love with parenting… together. I support sleep, soothing fussy babies, and protecting and nurturing our partnerships from the isolation, sleep deprivation, feelings of inequality around work load, and baby blues that come during the postpartum period. The best time to get in touch with me is… the sooner, the better. To get started, schedule some time to chat.

  • havenforbirth.org “Your family's refuge for safe, empowered pregnancy and birth.” They provide doula services, lactation counseling, birth plan workshops as well as lactation and postpartum classes. They also have a massage therapist and chiropractor. All services are available on a sliding fee scale.

  • www.sacramentomnm.com Midtown Nurse Midwives. In 2019 Midtown Nurse Midwives expanded to offer full scope midwifery in an out-of hospital setting. “Set in Midtown Sacramento, the Midtown Birth Center is a historic 1903 Victorian. It provides a home-like setting while maintaining an up-to-date birthing facility” that is equipped for emergencies and is less than 1 mile from the hospital.

  • Shannon Smith. While Dancing for Birth certainly uses movement through dance, I’d categorize it more as a birth preparation class rather than a fitness class. We teach coping methods, birth positions, and comfort measures through gentle movement.

  • Jennifer Anderson: In 2011, I started Birth Fusion to bring my real-life experiences and passions to families in a very personal way. I felt my experience as an RN could benefit families as I personally guide them through a process that often takes many twists and turns. I have witnessed hundreds of births as a nurse and doula, and I use these experiences to offer perspective and familiarity to an often unfamiliar experience. I do this from a clinical perspective, but also from a “best friend” and “nurturing” perspective, to allow you to feel safe and supported in the decisions you make in your journey towards parenthood.
